Eighth division
The mobile defense division of the Gotei 13, specializing in all defensive tactics and abilities. Their specialty, in many cases, opposes the natural instincts of most warriors. Rather than seeking to refine their offensive capabilities they specialize in slowing down and stopping enemy attacks, holding the line usually whilst waiting for reinforcements to come.
